360 – Red Velvet Chocolate Cake Bites / كرات كيكة الشيكولاتة الحمراء

Ingredients :

 

  • Red cake (or any other cake)
  • Cream cheese
  • Dark or white chocolate
  • Chocolate sprinkles

 

Directions :

 

Step 1: Making the Red Velvet Balls
1- In a large bowl, crumble a red colored cake. You can use a cake mix or watch my video on how to make it from scratch!
2- Add softened cream cheese. With you hands, mix in the cream cheese with the cake until well integrated. The cake should become moist, and you should be able to roll the mixture into small balls.
3- Roll the mixture into balls the size of a walnut then place in the fridge for 30 minutes.

Step 2: Covering the Balls with Chocolate
1- Melt the chocolate in the microwave, in 30 second shots and mix in between, so you don’t burn it.
2- Using 2 small spoons, dip and roll each ball in the melted chocolate. Shake the balls to get rid of excess chocolate, then place in a pan covered with wax paper.
3- Continue until all the cake balls are covered in chocolate! Decorate with chocolate sprinkles! YUM!
4- Refrigerate the chocolate balls for around 30 minutes until the coating is set.
5- Serve at room temperature
