393 – Fig Smoothie / عصير التين

Ingredients :

  • 1 bag of black tea
  • A large handful of Dried Figs (10 figs)
  • 2 bananas
  • 1/4 cup of raw unsalted walnuts
  • A pinch of ground cinnamon (to taste)
  • Honey to taste
  • 3-4 cups of milk (based on desired thickness)

 

Directions :

1- In a large bowl, add boiling water and the bag of black tea. Brew the tea for a few minutes.
2- Add the figs to the hot tea and let them soak for 30 minutes until they soften.
3- Drain the figs from the water and slice into medium sized pieces.
4- Slice the bananas.
5- In a blender, add the figs, banana slices, walnuts, honey, ground cinnamon, and milk. Blend well.
6- Serve cold.
