872- Ginger Lemonade / ليمونادة بالزنجبيل
For the ginger syrup:
250 milliliters (1 cup) water
2 tablespoons coconut sugar
1/3 teaspoon ground turmeric
1 medium piece fresh ginger, peeled and cut into thin slices
1 sprig fresh rosemary
For the lemonade:
1 liter (4 cups) cold water
1 batch of ginger syrup
Lemon slices , for garnish
Fresh rosemary sprigs, for garnish
Step 1: Preparing the ginger syrup
1- In a small saucepan over medium heat, add the water, coconut sugar, turmeric, ginger slices, and rosemary. Bring to a boil.
2- Cook the ginger mixture while stirring constantly for about 10 minutes until slightly thick.
3- Remove the syrup from the heat, strain, and set aside in the fridge to cool.
Step 2: Preparing the lemonade
4- Juice the lemons using a hand juicer.
5- Place the lemon slices and the rosemary sprigs in the bottom of a large pitcher, then add the lemon juice.
6- Add the ginger syrup and fill the pitcher with cold water. Mix together with a spoon to combine.
7- Add the ice cubes to the ginger lemonade and serve immediately.
