875- Whole Wheat Crêpes / فطائر الكريب بدقيق القمح الكامل
For the whole wheat crêpes:
200 grams (1 2/3 cups) whole wheat flour
50 grams (1/2 cup) cornstarch
1 pinch of salt
50 milliliters (1/4 cup) vegetable oil
500 milliliters (4 cups) milk
1- Place the milk in a saucepan over medium heat and heat it up until it reaches a boiling point.
2- In a large bowl, add the whole wheat flour, cornstarch, salt, eggs, and vegetable oil. Whisk until well combined.
3- Gradually add the hot milk while mixing until you get a smooth batter without lumps.
4- Heat a non-stick flat pan over medium heat. Mix the batter with a ladle. Pour a portion of the batter, tip and rotate the pan to spread the batter as thinly as possible. Cook for 2 minutes on both sides until slightly golden brown.
5- Serve the whole wheat crêpes warm with cream cheese, strawberries, or any topping of your choice.
