180 grams (1 1/2 cups) almond powder
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon dried thyme, ground
2 tablespoons chia seeds, ground
Salt and pepper, to taste
40 milliliters (1/4 cup) water
1- In a large bowl, add the almond powder, olive oil, dried thyme, chia seeds, salt, and pepper.
2- Mix all the ingredients with a spatula until well combined, then add the water little by little while mixing until you get a smooth dough.
3- Place the dough between two pieces of parchment paper and roll it out using a rolling pin to a medium thickness (1 cm).
4- Using a knife, cut the dough into medium sized triangles, or squares, or into any shape you prefer.
5- Place the savory fekkas on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper, and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C / 356°F for 15 minutes or until medium golden brown.
6- Allow the fekkas to cool down completely before serving. Note that as the fekkas cools down, it becomes crunchy.
