313 – Egg Flower Recipe / زهرة البيض
- Red and Yellow bell peppers
- Olive oil
- Salt and cumin (to taste)
- Parsley branches for decoration
1- Cut the bell peppers aroudn thes tep, pull it out and remove the ‘heart’ with the seeds.
2- Slice the peppers into medium thick slices
3- Drizzle olive oil in frying pan and heat on medium heat.
4- Cook the bell pepper slices on medium heat, 45 seconds each side.
5- Carefully crack an egg into each of the bell pepper slices – be careful not to break the egg yolk.
6- cook for 1 minute without covering the pan, then cover with a lid, and continue cooking for another 1-2 minutes or until the eggs are done to your taste. Be creaful not to overcook the eggs.
7- Serve immediately on a plate. Sprinkle some cumin and salt on the egg.
8- you can make the egg look like a flower if you add the stems (parsley branches) and sprinkly some cumin at the bottom of the plate (to make it look like soil).
