Very easy

Ingredients :

2 cups of rice (Basmati or Thai rice)
1 onion
2 shallots
9 oz of canned beans (with their water)
3 cups of water
A small bunch of parsley
1 bay leaf
1 thyme branch
3 garlic cloves
3 cloves
2 tablespoons of butter
2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions :

Finely mince the garlic and chop the onion and shallots.
On medium heat, drizzle oil in your pan. Add the onion, shallots, and garlic and cook for 5 minutes.
Add the rest of the ingredients (spices, herbs, rice, beans (with their juice), butter, salt and pepper).
Cover the rice and the rest of ingredients with the water. Cover the pan and cook the rice on high heat for 15-20 minutes until all the water is evaporated.
After the water is evaporated, fluff the rice with a fork and taste it to make sure that is cooked. If the rice is not cooked add some more water, cover the pan, and cook the rice until the water is evaporated.
Serving: Serve hot with spicy sauce. Enjoy!
