Homemade "Raibi Jamila"

Every Moroccan knows "Raibi Jamila". It's a pomegranate yogurt drink that we all grew up with in Morocco, and I doubt you can find it in any other country but Morocco. I asked around and search the internet to see if I can find a recipe that reminds me of Raibi Jamila and I did find one, that many blogs share, so not sure who was the originator of this recipe. I change 2 things to the recipe: first, I used vanilla extract which really makes the flavors pop. Second, I adjusted the quantities of buttermilk, grenadine syrup, and sugar - and I suggest you do the same. The sourness of the buttermilk varies from one kind to another, and the sweetness of the grenadine syrup will also change depending on the brand you are using. So adjust the quantities until you get the right taste. Whether you know "Raibi Jamila" or not, I am sure you will enjoy this beverage!

Indian Spiced Chai

When I went to India this summer I fell in love with Indian Spiced Chai! I was walking by in Tikketi and saw this woman selling chai from her home. It was absolutely delicious! I talked to her and she described to me how she makes her own chai masala, which is the spices mixture used to make the tea. Of course, when I cambe back home I had to try it and I actually customized it to my taste! Today we are making Chai Masala the easy way, by using ground spices that you can find in any supermarket instead of griding whole spices as many people do. Anyhow, Indian Spiced Chai will become your go to beverage starting now!
