I made these nice 'snowballs' and they finished in just one day! Everybody loved them and was asking for more...

The almonds I roasted myself and found for this a nice recipe on the internet: 'honey roasted almonds'.

I found the 'Moroccan coconut truffles' recipe to be just great: so unbelievably quick (apart from the cooling time of course) and at the same time so delicious. Many thanks Alia!! By the way, your way of teaching is so good that even a difficult recipe like couscous seems to be easy!!!

Alia these truffles look beautiful. The white will be perfect for one of the dessert tables at my daughter's wedding! Of course I can't wait to make a batch before the wedding - my family LOVES coconut! Your "cooking class" was very good; precise, simple and I loved that you showed the difference in the coconut. Otherwise I would have definitely purchased the wrong one!

    Thanks Alia for great recipes.
I wanna try these but I don't know where to find unsweetened shredded coconut. I live in the US. And most grocery stores only carry sweetened coconut. Where do you get yours.

Although these coconut balls pack a scary amount of fat and calories per bite, they are amazing and I make them for my friends, family and co-workers all the time. Everyone raves.

    Dear Alia,

Thanks you so much for sharing this recipe. I made it yesterday for my family, and it was a real success! However, I found them a bit sticky to my taste. I used Nestle sweet condensed milk and layed them for enough time in the fridge. Should I place them in the freezer, to get them les sticky and more light and crispy?

Please keep posting, you're the best!

    Greets,
    Fatima from the Netherlands.

      Hi Fatima,
So glad you enjoyed the recipe! if the mixture is sticky even after letting it rest, add a little more dried coconut - this will help make it 'drier'. hope this helps! cheers

I made these and they were very good. Another cool thing to do is coat them with white chocolate. You can also use milk, or dark. They are almost like homemade candy! I like your cooking, although I am Ukrainian, your food is very similar to ours.
