292 – Mendiants – Chocolate Disks with Toppings Recipe / أقراص الشوكولاته مع حشو
- Chocolate: dark, milk, or white
- Candied / Dried fruits (apricots, prunes, oranges, etc.)
- Nuts (walnuts, almonds, pistachios, etc.)
Step 1: Making the Mandiants
This recipe amount will depend on how much chocolate you use.
1- Melt the chocolate in a bain marie (in a bowl over boiling water) or in the microwave (in 30 seconds shots). You can use either dark, milk, or white chocolate (separately of course).
2- Use a small spoon to drop a spoonful of the melted chocolate on a flat plate covered with parchment paper.
3- Using the back of the spoon, spread the chocolate into a 1 1/2 inch (4 cm) round.
4- Top the chocolate disk with 3-5 pieces of nuts and dried fruits.
5- repeat steps 3 and 4 until you finish your chocolate.
6- place the pan with the chocolate disks in the fridge for at least 1 hour for the chocolate to harden.
You can keep these chocolates for up to 2 weeks in a container in the fridge.
