089 – The Ultimate Chocolate Cake
- 5 eggs
- 10 oz of dark chocolate – best quality you can find
- 5 oz of butter
- 1/2 cup of sugar
1- Melt the chocolate and butter on medium heat in a ‘bain-marie’ placing the container with chocolate on top of a pan with boiling water.
2- Beat the 5 eggs and sugar on high speed until the mixture becomes white and thick.
3- Fold the melted chocolate within the eggs mixture. 4- Mix well.
5- Butter the baking pan and fill it up with the batter.
6- Pre-heat your oven to 350F degrees. Bake the cake in the center rack for 30-40 minutes or until done. 7- To check the that cake is baked, insert a toothpick in the center, it should come out clean.
Serving: Decorate with powdered sugar. Serve cold with fruit and whipped cream. Enjoy!
Conserving: Wrap the cake in foil and freeze for up to 2 weeks. Just unwrap and thraw at room temperature before serving.
