578- Carrot Orange Smoothie/عصير الجزر والبرتقال
2-3 medium carrots (450 grams / 1 pound)
2 oranges (300 grams / 0.7 pound)
250 grams (1 cup) plain yogurt
1 tablespoon of sugar
1- Peel and chop the carrots. Fill a pot with water and place it over medium heat. Bring the water to a boil, add the carrots, cover, and let simmer for 20 minutes until they become soft. Drain the carrots, store the carrot water in a separate container, and refrigerate both until they cool down completely.
2- Juice the oranges to make around 250 ml / 1 cup of fresh orange juice.
3- In a blender, place the cooked carrots, fresh orange juice, plain yogurt, and sugar. Mix until you have a smooth consistency. Add carrot water little by little until you get the consistency of your choice. Place the smoothie in the fridge. Serve cold.
