624- Turkey Roll / ملفوف الديك الرومي
1 turkey escalope
150 grams (5 oz.) spinach
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 garlic clove, grated
Salt and pepper, to taste
1- In a saucepan over medium heat, heat 1 tablespoon olive oil. Add the spinach, garlic, salt (very little because the spinach is naturally salty) and pepper. Cook for about 10 minutes, until the water release by the spinach has evaporated. Remove from the heat and let the spinach cool down.
2- Place the turkey escalope on a plastic wrap and spread with the spinach mixture.
3- Roll the turkey escalope like a carpet.
4- Roll the rolled turkey on the plastic wrap and close both ends tightly.
5- In a large pan over high heat, boil some water. Dip the rolls in the pan and cook for 10 minutes. Take them out with a skimmer and let them cool.
6- Remove the plastic wrap and cut the roll into slices of 1 cm / 0.4 inchess thickness.
7- On a saucepan over medium heat, heat 1 tablespoon olive oil. Cook the rolled turkey slices 2 minutes on each side. Serve immediately.
