679- Watermelon Lemonade / ليمونادا البطيخ الأحمر

Ingredients

800 grams watermelon
2 cups water

Syrup:
300 grams sugar
300 ml water
300 ml lemon juice
1 teaspoon lemon zest
15 mint leaves

Directions

Step 1: The syrup
1- In a sauce pan over medium heat, place the water and sugar and bring to boil for 5 minutes.
2- Remove the pan from the heat, then add the lemon zest, juice and the mint leaves to the sugar syrup. Let it cool down.
3- Strain the syrup and pour it into a bottle. Place in the refrigerator until it’s completely cold.

Step 2: Lemonade:
1- In a blender, place the watermelon and mix until you have a smooth mixture.
2- In a juice bottle, place 1 cup of syrup, 2 cups of water and 4 cups of watermelon juice.
3- Strain the lemonade to get rid of any chunks.
Serve cold.
