709- Chocolate Chai Massala / شاي ماسالا بالشوكولاتة
2 tablespoons (4 grams) chai masala spice mix
250 ml (1 cup) water
500 ml (2 cups) milk
3 tablespoons (37.5 grams) white granulated sugar
2 tablespoons (15 grams) unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tablespoon (2 grams) black tea leaves
Optional: whipped cream for decoration
1- Pour the water and chai masala spice mix in a saucepan. Place it on the stove over medium heat, and let the water mixture cook until it starts boiling.
2- When the water starts boiling, add the milk, sugar, and cocoa powder. Using a whisk, mix until well combined.
3- Continue cooking until the mixture reaches a boiling point. Remove from the heat.
4- Add the black tea leaves to the mixture and let it infuse for 3 minutes. If you let it infuse too long, the chai will get too strong.
5- Strain the tea twice (important!) to get rid of all the spices and tea residues. Serve immediately topped with whipping cream.
