Goodbye My Korea / وداعا كوريا
I was staring at the exit doors of the airport, opening and closing continuously. I looked on with fear… fear of what’s behind these doors, fear of the unknown, fear of regrets…
This was 4 years ago.
Then I stepped out to live the most beautiful experience of my life in Seoul, South Korea.
I fell in love with everything from day one…
The spiciness of Korean Kimchi, the warm steamed rice, the fresh fish, the Korean penchant for perfection everywhere in the streets, the subway lines, art productions, the incredible fast energy of the city, the feeling of living in the future. Most importantly i loved the Korean people. Their kindness made me so grateful to be part of them.
In a few weeks, I am leaving… and this is my way to say goodbye… honoring a fascinating piece in Korean culture.
A cuisine that goes beyond recipes and uses patience, spirituality, and love as the real ingredients.
Korean Temple Food.
