498- Oats Milk Soup / شوربة الشوفان
100 grams (1 cup) steel-cut oats
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 tablespoon anise seeds
1 teaspoon thyme
Salt, to taste
250 ml (1 cup) milk
500 ml (2 cups) water
1- In a large saucepan, combine the oats, olive oil, anise seeds, thyme, and salt.
2- Add the water and mix all ingredients.
3- On medium heat, bring the mixture to a boil and continue cooking until the soup becomes thick.
4- Add the milk.
5- Reduce the heat to medium-low and continue cooking, stirring occasionally, for around 10 minutes. Serve hot!
