499- Semolina Milk Soup / حساء الحليب بالسميد
125 grams (3/4 cup) coarse semolina
1 tablespoon butter
Salt, to taste
250 ml (1 cup) milk
500 ml (2 cups) boiling water
1- In a saucepan, combine the semolina, butter and salt.
2- Add the boiling water.
3- Mix all the ingredients and bring the mixture to a boil. Then lower the heat and allow the soup to simmer gently for around 20 minutes, while stirring frequently, until the semolina becomes tender and the mixture thickens.
4- Add the milk.
5- Continue cooking on medium heat, for about 10 minutes, while stirring constantly until the soup reaches desired consistency. Serve hot!
