918- Flaxseed Twisted Breadsticks / أعواد الخبز الملتوية ببذور الكتان
200 grams (1 1/2 cups) all-purpose flour
75 grams (1/2 cup) whole flaxseeds
118 milliliters (1/2 cup) milk
4 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
2 teaspoons onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried basil
Salt and pepper, to taste
1- Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F).
2- In a large bowl, add the flaxseeds, flour, baking powder, salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and dried basil. Mix to combine.
3- In a medium bowl, whisk together the milk and olive oil.
4- Add the milk mixture to the dry ingredients and gently mix using your hands until a homogeneous and smooth dough is formed.
5- Place the dough between two pieces of parchment paper and roll it out using a rolling pin to a 1 cm (1/3in) thickness.
6- Using a sharp knife, cut the dough into 2cm (2/3in) strips. Twist each strip and place them on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper. Bake for 15 minutes. Allow to cool then serve.
