326 – Walnut Blue Cheese Burger Recipe / برغر الجبن الأزرق والجوز
- 1.5 pounds ground meat
- 1 onion (grated)
- 1 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- Creamy blue cheese (1 or 2 boxes depending on your taste)
- 1 cup chopped raw walnuts
- Olive oil
- burger buns, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese slices, mustard, etc
Step 1: Preparing the Ingredients
1- Grate the onion. Heat some olive oil in a flat pan. Cook the grated onion on low-medium heat for 15 minutes while stirring from time to time, until it has a nice golden brown color.
2- Mix in the cooked onion with the meat. Add the chopped walnut and mis well.
3- Shape the hamburgers by taking a portion of the meat and roll it into a ball. Place a small piece of blue cheese inside the ball. Roll.
4- Lightly flatten the meat balls. Place the burger patties in a plate, cover with a plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes so that the meat holds better.
Step 2: Grilling the Burgers
1- To grill the burgers you can use your barbeque grill or a grilling plate that you place over your stove. I am using a grilling plate.
2- On medium heat, heat your grilling plate and when it becomes hot, place the hamburger on the grill. Cook the burgers for around 8 minutes on each side until done.
Note: To check if the burgers are cooked, you can slice a burger; the center should not be pinked but should still be juicy and not dry.
Step 3: Final Steps
1- Heat your burger buns in the oven. Once hot we are ready to put together the burger!
2- Sprea some creamy blue cheese inside the top bun.
3- Place the burger on the bottom bun and place a piece of lettuce and a piece of tomato.
4- Top with cheese slices and some mustard (or any sauce of your choice). Add the top bun and your burger is read!!!!
