733- Salad Jar – Asian Twist / سلطة بلمسة آسيوية

Ingredients

Dressing

4 tablespoons Carrefour Selection Sesame Oil

6 tablespoons soy sauce 

4 tablespoons lemon vinegar

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

2 tablespoons honey

2 teaspoons fresh ginger, peeled and grated

2 garlic cloves, grated

2 tablespoons sesame seeds, toasted

4 tablespoons cilantro, chopped

 

Salad Base

200 g (7 oz) chicken breast, cut into stripes

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 small garlic cloves, grated

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 medium carrot, grated 

1 medium cucumber, grated

1 medium red bell pepper, cut into fine stripes

4 cabbage leaves, cut into fine stripes

60 g (2.1 oz) spinach, finely chopped

40 g (1.4 oz) raw almond, chopped

Cilantro leaves, for decoration

Directions

1- In a pan, over medium heat, heat the olive oil. Add the garlic and the stripes of chicken and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes, or until it’s well cooked through. Set aside to cool down.

2- In a bowl, combine all the ingredients of the dressing and mix well. Set aside.

3- You will need medium jars (25 cl) to assemble the salad. To fill each jar, start by placing 6 tablespoons of the dressing then place half of salad ingredients, in the following order from bottom to top: carrot, cucumber, red bell pepper, chicken, cabbage, spinach, cilantro leaves. Sprinkle with chopped almonds. Serve immediately or cover to serve later.

4- To serve, turn the jar over into a plate or bowl to empty out the ingredients and let the dressing flow on top of the salad.
